You could be forgiven for thinking things at The Tiny Card Company so far this year have been very quiet…

A little bit like a swan paddling frantically beneath the surface, life’s been busy behind the scenes putting together a whole new look, and a shiny new website to match.

Up until now, I’ve done absolutely everything myself – it’s amazing what you can turn your hand to when there’s no budget to have anyone else do it!  Although the DIY branding has done its job, I’m certainly no graphic designer. Things tended to develop piecemeal and the temptation was always there to fiddle!  At the end of last year I overcame the fear of letting go and reached the decision it was time to hand the branding over to someone who really knew their stuff.

However terrifying the initial leap was, I can honestly say relinquishing a little control and letting the experts do their thing is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!  Ian and James at Flourish guided me through the whole process, taking time to find out the kind of look I was aiming for, my likes and dislikes.

Needless to say, I’m thrilled to bits with the result. James has created a fresh new look that’s professional, coherent and a little bit quirky. I particularly love the little origami cat icon that you’ll see wandering through the website. I like to think he’s modeled on Morris. (well, he did decide he needed to be involved in the skype consultation…)  The best thing of all is I still have my sanity as well as the company having a fabulous new look! Definitely a lesson learned in delegating!
