I love this time of year:

Spring proper has really kicked in, my cherry tree is a mass of pink froth, and there's a fresh crop of bridal collections to drool over.  The images of Jenny Packham's heavily embellished 2017 bridal collection are particularly glorious: all that sparkle set against a rustic barn backdrop.

No doubt you will have already seen plenty of coverage of the bridal big names, so instead I wanted to share a couple of hidden gems.

Jessica Charleston

Based in Bath, and describing her passion for designing wedding dresses as "creating beautiful clothes for romantic personal journeys."  Much of Jessica's inspiration is drawn from history's most glamorous moments: from ‘La Belle Epoque’ through to the 1930s, an era of extravagance and adventure, exploring themes of discovery and timeless elegance.

Take a look at her beautiful collections and couture work here.

Sally Lacock

London wedding dress designer Sally Lacock is known for her beautiful, timeless, lace and silk wedding dresses. Inspired primarily by her love of vintage wedding dresses and antique lace Sally’s work is imbued with lightness, delicacy and an attention to detail rarely found in today’s world of mass production. Her creative vision is one of respect for time-honoured skills combined with romantic vintage appeal. See her latest collection including bridal separates here.

There are lots of massively talented people out there, I'd love to hear about the amazing independent designers you've come across. Please give them some love in the comments below.
